Possibility of Negative Yields
By Jon Sidman
Aug 12, 2019, 14:16

Negative bond yields have become a reality, with both German and Japanese curves dipping below zero at various terms.

While unlikely, there is a possibility that US Muni yields may dip into uncharted negative territory. In preparation for such an event, Ferrand Consulting Group has developed a Munex service pack, SP2-19B2.

This update allows negative muni yields to be entered on the Scale screen. To allow input of negative yields, first visit Input -> Yield -> Defaults. On this screen, set "Allow Negative Muni Yields?" to yes. Once this is set, input of negative yields will be allowed on the Scale screen.
